Private Guiding and Porter Rates

We offer private guiding and porter rates in the Sierra and internationally. You can customize your itinerary for any program with our professional staff.

Private Guiding

Private Itinerary with any Sierra Mountaineering International's Guide/Instructor:

  • 1 person: $640 per day for any climb or course.
  • 2 people: $395 per person per day for any climb or course.
  • 3 or more people: $395 per person per day for technical climbs (Guide to Guest Ratio 1:2), and $320 per person per day for non-technical hikes/courses.

Note: For big single-day pushes with headlamp starts, there’s an added $150 fee per person for the long day in the mountains.

Private Itinerary with Sierra Mountaineering International's Founder Kurt Wedberg

  • 1 person: $720 per day.
  • 2 or more people: $440 per person, per day.

Porter Rates

  • $350 per porter per day. The standard maximum load for each porter is 20 kilograms/44 pounds.
