Climb The Sierra Nevada!
We offer climbing in some of the most beautiful areas in California. Use the menu above to navigate through the Climbs we offer.
Classic Sierra Climbs
3rd Class climbs require the use of hands and feet but no previous rock climbing training is necessary and we bring a rope for safety. These are exhilarating and rewarding climbs for anyone in good physical shape who enjoys a limited amount of moderate exposure. Listed here are a few of our favorite peaks that fit in to this category. We list some with scheduled dates with prices based on a minimum of two. All can be booked any time with advanced reservation. See our private rates for custom dates.
Mixed Classic Climbs
Here are a few classic climbs that offer the opportunity to use snow/ice and rock climbing skills!
Scheduled dates are listed and custom itineraries can be done any time during the summer and fall months. Contact our office to receive more information on any of these climbs.
Classic Alpine Rock Climbs
The Sierra is famous for its alpine rock climbing on firm white granite in exhilarating settings. Our staff has over 100 years of combined experience in the Sierra and can knowledgably guide trips anywhere in this great mountain range. Scheduled here are a few of our favorite and most popular backcountry alpine rock climbs. These are not only a sampling of the Sierra’s finest, but are some of the most superb alpine rock climbs found anywhere.
Classic Alpine Ice Climbs
Many peaks in the Sierra contain couloirs that hold permanent snow and ice. As the summer stretches into August many melt freeze cycles have hardened spring snow creating high quality alpine ice. These climbs range in length, steepness and difficulty and offer something for everybody. We have been ice climbing since 1987 and are intimately familiar with the many fine gully ice climbs in the Sierra. Listed below are some with scheduled dates and prices based on a minimum of two. All can be booked any time with advanced reservation. See our private rates for custom dates.
