Kurt
is the founder of Sierra Mountaineering International. He has been
a professional mountain guide since 1986 and has 53 major expeditions
on his resume including a successful ascent of Mt. Everest in 1995.
He has led expeditions to peaks in Africa, Alaska, the Alps, Argentina,
Bolivia, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru, Russia, Turkey, and the Himalayas.
Kurt has guided on Mt. Rainier since 1991 where he is a senior guide
with Lou Whittaker's Rainier Mountaineering Inc. and currently has
114 ascents of this peak. He has been mountaineering in the Sierra
for over 20 years. Kurt runs Sierra Mountaineering International
from his hometown of Bishop, California along the base of the beautiful
Eastern Sierra. |
